Dalton Joseph Sellers

February 15, 1925 ~ December 8, 2016

Abbeville — A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 PM Monday December 12, 2016 at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church honoring the life of Dalton Joseph Sellers, 91 years, who died Thursday, December 8, 2016 at his residence.
He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Greg Cormier officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Ronald Romero, Ricky Romero, Donald DeBlanc, Donald Gaspard, Steven Gaspard and Donald Vincent.
He is survived by his daughters, Cludette S. Romero and her husband Ronnie, and Sharon S. DeBlanc and her husband Donald; granddaughter, Charolette Romero; grandson, Richey Romero and his wife Rachelle; great granddaughter, Krista Romero; step great grandsons, Chris O’Quinn and Ryan O’Quinn; step great-great children, Blayke O’Quinn and Gravin LeBouef; brothers, Alexandre “Al” Sellers and Opta Sellers Jr; sister, Willia Mae Gaspard; step grandchildren, Daphane Hebert and Damien DeBlanc.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary H. Sellers; son, Rickey A. Sellers; parents, Opta J. Sellers and Evee’ B. Sellers; in-laws, Ophelias Hebert and Emedia C. Hebert; sisters, Mary Lonna “ Sugar’ Baudoin, Hazel Durke and Dorothy Sellers (infant); and step grandson, Brandon O’Quinn.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Sunday December 11, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM; Monday, December 12, 2016 from 8:00 AM until 11:45 AM when the procession will depart for the church.
The family extends a special thank you to AAA Hospice, especially nurses Gary and Cindy; along with Dr. Washington.
