Cordry Campbell Dore’

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Wilbert Joseph Dore’, the former Cordry Campbell, age 78, at 10:00 am Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Nathan Comeaux officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday until service time.
A native of Delcambre and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Dore’ passed away at 2:33 am on, Monday, August 31, 2015 at Maison Teche Nursing Home.
Mrs. Dore’ was affectionately known as Honey to her family and friends. She was employed with Iberia Oil for 15 years and then served as a Sambassador for the Good Sam Camping Club for 15 years until her retirement. She was very proud to serve as Delcambre Shrimp Queen in 1953 and enjoyed traveling, camping and cooking.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wilbert Dore’; one daughter, Gail D. Boutin and husband Randall; two grandchildren, Randall Boutin,II and his companion Candace Woods, and Jamie Dore’; nine great grandchildren, Gage Boutin, Landon Carlson, Evan Boutin, Saige Falcon, and Braxton Boutin of Delcambre, Makayla Neilson, Robert Neilson, Jr., Carter Jumonville, and Bentley Hall of New Iberia and one sister, Amadean “Dean” Dooley of Delcambre.
She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Lawrence Dore’; parents, Amadee’ and Evie Delahoussaye Campbell; two sisters, Delores Campbell and Evangeline “Sue” Derouen and three brother in laws, Terrell Dooley, Avery Derouen and Wilton Dore’.
Pallbearers will be Randall Boutin, Randall Boutin, II, Gage Boutin, Evan Boutin, Scotty Derouen and Eric Dooley. Myron Manuel, Michael Derouen and Robert Neilson, will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to thank all of the Doctors and Staff of Southern Care Hospice and Maison Teche Nursing Home for all of their care and concern.
