Erath sweeps Kaplan
ERATH - The Erath Bobcats won their first district game in three seasons after beating the Kaplan Pirates, 53-35.
The Bobcats (11-12) outscored Kaplan 38-21 in the second half to secure the victory.
Erath was led in scoring by juniors Elijah with 17 points and Bren Faulk with 11.
Justin Mouton had eight and Jaylen Senigal chipped in seven for EHS. Others scores for EHS were Chene Blanchette (5), Zach Trangmar (4) and Austin Dupuis (1).
Erath was also 17 out of 25 at the free throw line.
Kaplan was led by Dylan Touchet, who had 13 points.
Keegan Roy added eight points, and Logan Roy had four for Kaplan. Jacob Leger and Nate Bertrand each had three points.

ERATH - Monette Bolden had 19 points to lead Erath over Kaplan, 50-35, on Friday at home.
Erath picks up its 20th win with the victory.
Teammate Alexis Lege added 14.
Olivia Blanchard scored 3 and Alexis Martin made two for EHS.
Rylie Frick had 14 points for Kaplan and Lauren Touchet made eight.
Caroline Guidry scored five, Tory Riggs had four and Dacotah Marceaux and Ariyon Breaux each had two points for KHS.
