Holly Lachaussee - Lawrence Bordelon II unite in holy matrimony
Miss Holly Michelle Lachaussee became Mrs. Lawrence Anthony Bordelon, II, (L.J.), during a ceremony held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville.
Reverend Kendal Faulk officiated the 1 p.m. nuptials.
The bride is the daughter of Timothy and Mary Pat Trahan Lachaussee of Abbeville. Her maternal grandparents are the late Alton, Sr. and Elodie Trahan of Abbeville. Paternal grandparents are Beverly and the late Lares P. Lachaussee of Abbeville.
Parents of the groom are Gayla Falcon of Abbeville and Larry Bordelon of Lake Charles. His maternal grandparents are the late Clifford and Alice Richard Falcon of Abbeville and the late Barry and Diane Deere Bordelon of Welsh, La.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Tommy Guidry, organist; Jared Gray, trumpeter and Wayne Hebert, vocalist. Readings were given by Sandra T. Osburn, aunt of the bride and Denise Frederick, aunt of the groom.
Ushers were Jordan LeBlanc, cousin of the bride and Elie Falcon, cousin of the groom.
Escorted by her husband, the mother of the bride wore a dark Steele Xscape illusion formal gown with a sweep train. The all-over glitter lace mermaid silhouetted dress featured elbow length sheer sleeves with a scallop trim. Highlighting the dress was a gathered waist accented with a diamond broach. The mother of the bride carried a hand held bouquet of Black Magic roses and berries.
The mother of the groom was escorted by her son, L.J. She wore a floor length, navy gown with cap sleeves and a delicately beaded neckline. The dress featured a draped tier at the skirt. She carried a hand held bouquet of Quicksand roses.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore an elegantly sophisticated gown found exclusively at A-Net’s Bridal Boutique. The delicate scoop illusion neckline of this romantic sheath rendered this white gown unforgettable. Richly beaded lace motifs danced across tulle over Demir stretch satin all the way to the hemline. Finally, covered buttons added the perfect finish to the zipper back closure. Adorning the bride’s waist was an intricately beaded rhinestone and crystal sash on an organa ribbon. Completing the bride’s ensemble was a two-tiered fingertip veil with a delicate clear beaded trim.
She carried a bouquet of hydrangea, Black Magic roses, white roses, Quicksand roses, alstromeria, lilies, burgundy orchids and accents of brown hypericum berries. Entwined in the bouquet was her maternal grandmother’s Mother of Pearl rosary.
To follow a long time tradition, the bride’s something old was her maternal grandmother’s Mother of Pear rosary, something new was the wedding dress, something borrowed was a hair comb lent by the cousin of the bride, Amanda Williamson, and something blue was an heirloom handkerchief monogrammed with pale blue B. The bride also carried a sixpence in her shoe borrowed from Connie Rost.
Maids of honor were Hope and Abby Lachaussee, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids included Katie S. Reaux, Lillian Turner, Betty Washington, Amber Tomino, Tabatha B. Trahan and Emily Miller, all friends of the bride.
Each attendant wore formal gowns of varied styles in a deep wine satin tone. The bridesmaids chose an individual look according to their personal taste. The girls completed their ensemble with earrings hand made by 2 Chicas, given as gift from the bride.
The maids of honor carried bouquets of Black Magic roses, white roses, Quicksand roses, burgundy carnations and brown hypericum berries.

Flower girls were Avery Torres, cousin of the bride and daughter of James and Amy Osburn-Torres and Laudry Williamson, cousin of the bride and daughter of Troy and Amanda Williamson. They wore white tea length dresses with a satin flowered bodice and full tulle skirt. The waistband gathered and was accented with a wine colored sash. They carried burgundy nosegays of roses, carnations and berries.
Best men were Michael Bordelon, brother of the groom and Jacob Reed, friend of the groom. Groomsmen included Brandon Delaune, Taylor Burtner, Barret Perry, Wilbert James, Jr., David Dingler, friends of the groom and Lance Arceneaux, friend of the bride and groom. Ring bearer was John Lalanne III, cousin of the groom and son of John, II and Ramsey Lalanne.
The groomsmen wore charcoal grey tuxedos with wine vests and tie. Their boutonnieres were hypericum berries and greenery.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the VN hall in Abbeville.
Following a wedding trip to Estes Park, Colorado, the couple will reside in Abbeville.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by Gayla Falcon and Jerry Russo, was held on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at the home of Jerry Russo.
