LSN Editorial: Vitter for Governor
After studying the voting records of both candidates and gleaning as much information as we could on each candidate, we are prepared to recommend Senator David Vitter for Governor.
The choice is simple. Vitter’s record is consistently conservative while Edwards’ record is consistently liberal.
Despite all the rhetoric, we can cut to the chase.
No amount of posturing can change a man’s voting record; it is what it is.
Edwards’ voting record clearly and positively shows that he is a tax and spend liberal despite efforts by his campaign people to cover it up. His support from the Teacher’s Union, trial lawyers and other liberal groups further attests to the fact that he is a Liberal and out of step with the majority of people in Louisiana on issues important to them: issues like less government, less taxes, job creation, right to life and many other issues too numerous to mention.
Vitter, on the side of the horn, has spent his entire political career against big government, against higher taxes on small businesses, against higher taxes on working families, against abortion and for job creation. In the main, his support comes from small business owners, hardworking families and conservatives who share his political philosophy.
Your vote is important. Take the time and trouble to vote. It’s very important to your future and that of your children and grandchildren.
