Darrell Marceaux

GUEYDAN — Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Darrell Marceaux, 76, who died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife, Wilda S. Marceaux; one son, Wilson Marceaux II and his wife, Leslie of Gueydan; one daughter, Holly and her husband, Neil McGowan of Gueydan; four sisters, Martha and her husband Melvin Smith of Gueydan, Margie and her husband, Irving LeBouef of Gueydan, Florence and her husband, Dale Benoit of Lake Arthur, and Barbara and her husband, Dwayne Fusilier of Luling, LA; one brother, Nelson “Joe” Marceaux of Gueydan; four grandchildren, Derrick, Michael, Braxton, and Whitney Marceaux; four step-grandchildren, Tiffany Juan, Ricky Marceaux, Alfonzo Tagliavore, and Tina Tagliavore; and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Marceaux and the former Oneita Cormier; his maternal grandparents Alexson and Electa Cormier; and his granddaughter, Morgan Marceaux.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Monday, July 6, 2015 from from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
