Rose Lema Broussard

ERATH – A Mass of Christian burial for Rose Lema Broussard, 83, will be held Wednesday June 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath, with Father Bill Melancon Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday June 16, 2015 from 3:00PM until 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM and will continue Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial will follow in the church mausoleum.
A native of Erath and resident of the LeBlanc community, Rose passed away Saturday June 13, 2015 at Masion du Monde Nursing Home.
Survivors include her brother Lydier “T-Bab” and his wife Lolian Bares Bernard; her niece Cynthia Bernard Drott and her husband Theodore, nephews Ricky and his wife Jackie Bernard, Barry and his wife Sue Bernard, Gerard and his wife Thelma Bernard; nine great nieces and nephews; and six great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Osar “Slim” Broussard; and her parents Megal and Aline Bernard.
The family wishes to thank everyone at Maison du Monde living center and Hospice of Acadiana for the great care given to Mrs. Broussard.
