Anne LeBlanc and Jake Touchet say vows
Miss Anne Maria LeBlanc of Abbeville and Mr. Jake Joseph Touchet of Erath, were joined in holy matrimony on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville. Deacon Randy Hyde officiated the 6:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Winnie LeBlanc. Her grandparents are the late Luther and Mathilde Simon of Abbeville and the late Raoul and Olita LeBlanc, also of Abbeville.
The groom is the son of Lovelace and Darlene Touchet. His grandparents are the late Morris Frederick, the late Clifford and Maudrey Dykes, and the late Caesar and Dorothy Touchet, all of Erath.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Tommy Guidry, organist; Will Green, trumpeter; Yang Yang Li, violinist; and Lindsay LeBlanc, soloist.
For the prelude, musical selections were ‘Lord’s Prayer, Arioso, Bist Du Bei Mir and, Where’er You Walk’; for the seating of the mothers were ‘Jesu, Joy of Mans Desiring’; for the attendants procession was ‘Canon in D’; for the procession of the bride was ‘Trumpet Voluntary’, and the recessional was ‘Trumpet in Final D’.
Readings were given by Dodie Romero, sister of the groom and Brett Trahan, friend of the bride.
The mother of the bride was escorted by her son, Scott LeBlanc. Mrs. LeBlanc chose an Eleni Elias soft pink couture gown. The Mikado gown features heavily beaded off the shoulder net sleeves, sweetheart neckline and beaded bodice and a pronounced peplum and puddle train which was later bustled during the reception.
The mother of the groom was escorted by her son, Jake Touchet. Mrs. Touchet chose a black and white gown by Betsy and Adam with cap sleeved bodice, deco inspired satin applique top with a waistline accented with a satin sash and black floor length mesh skirt.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a fit and flare gown with heavily beaded off the shoulder cap sleeves. The antique gold gown begins with a scalloped edged sweetheart neckline. Sequined embroidered alencon lace sparkled down the skirt and train. Accenting the waist is a sheer band encrusted with rhinestones and beaded medallion. The look is made complete with a stunning semi-cathedral train.
The bride’s ensemble was completed by a single tiered veil. Delicate ivory tulle was finished with a rolled edge from face to mid-arm, then changed into beaded alencon lace throughout the bottom.
She carried a nosegay of ‘Black Magic’ red roses tied with ecru lace and accented with her own rosary which had special meaning as it was a confirmation gift from her matron of honor.
Jennifer Toups, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. The junior bridesmaid was Mia-Grace Toups, godchild and niece of the bride. Bridesmaids included Katherine Riemann, cousin of the bride; Sara Kirkpatrick, Brittany Viator, Courtnie LeBlanc and Andrea Gary, all friends of the bride and Kristen Hungerford, sister of the groom.
They carried floral nosegays of blush and cream roses.
The flower girls were Lainey LeBlanc and Lindsey LeBlanc, nieces of the bride and Mylee Toups, niece of the groom. They carried a small nosegay of sweetheart cream colored roses.
The bridesmaids wore Alfred Sung garnet dupioni silk floor length gowns with ruffled neckline and flat bow at the empire waist. The junior bridesmaid was also in Alfred Sung - a full length dupioni bateau neckline gown with cap sleeves and matching picot edge belt at the natural waistline.
The flower girls wore champagne colored batiste dresses with smocking insertion, lace and ecru ribboned tucked sleeves.
Lovelace Touchet, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included, Jeremiah Earnest, friend of the groom; Jonathan Toups, brother-in-law of the bride; Noah Pontiff, cousin of the bride; Bricen Breaux, friend of the groom; Haiden Richard and Caesar Touchet, both cousins of the groom and John Hungerford, brother-in-law of the groom.
Scott LeBlanc, brother of the bride, served as the usher.
All the groomsmen wore black tuxedoes by Vera Wang with black bow ties and matching suspenders. Cream colored rose boutonnieres accented their tuxedoes, except for the groom whose boutonniere was ‘Black Magic’ red rose.
Ring bearers were Brylon Toups, godchild of the groom and Preston Toups, nephew of the bride.
The ring bearers wore linen khaki colored pants, white long sleeved shirts with ecru embroidered initials on the shirt pocket and an ecru and white bow-tie and a cream colored sweetheart rose boutonniere.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Magdalen Place which was decorated with cherry blossoms bouquets, and cream and blush rose balls falling over trumpet styled silver and mercury glass urns and candelabra. A large crystal chandelier and white swagged chiffon panels graced the main ballroom. Guests were entertained by the band, Side Show.
The bride’s cake was an ivory, six tiered confection named, ‘The Louisiana’, created by Sweet Southern Ladies filled with pistachio cake and cherry blossom filling.
The groom’s cake was a Reeses peanut butter cake with a ganache icing created by the groom’s mother.
Mr. and Mrs. Touchet will reside in Erath, La. upon their return from their honeymoon.
