Robert E. Schexnider

ABBEVILLE — In loving memory of Robert “Lulu” Schexnider who passed away on May 9, 2015 at Pelican Pointe Nursing Home.
He was 89 years of age and was born on May 30, 1925.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served in WWII as a military police officer in France and Germany.
He is survived by his two daughters, Pat Landry and her husband Louis of Lafayettte; Janet Sonnier and her husband Clint of Abbeville; and one son, Keith Schexnider and his wife Linda of Abbeville. He had 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his wife Laura L. Schexnider.
There will be no service, as he is donating his body to science.
The family wishes to offer a special thanks to all the employees of the Pelican Pointe Alzheimer’s Unit.
