Abbeville's own Koryn moves on to The Voice finals

Koryn Hawthorne of Abbeville is moving on to the finals of The Voice.
Tuesday night Koryn found out America voted her as one of the four finalists on this year’s The Voice.
She did have to sing in her first ever “Instant Save” because her and India Carney had to go head-to-head in a sing-off.
Koryn sung “If I were a boy.” America had five minutes to select from her or India.
They picked Koryn.
“I could not be more happier for you,” Coach Pharrell Williams said. “You came out here and stuck to your guns.”
She joins teammate Sawyer Fredericks of Team Pharrell; Meghan Linsey of Team Blake and Joshua David of Team Adam.
The final two shows will be Monday and Tuesday.
The winner will be named on Tuesday.
On Monday, Pharrell Williams chose U2’s “One” to give Koryn “another moment that pushed her forward to the finals.”
The song demonstrated the things that make Koryn compelling — her rich vibrato, her glory notes, the rasp in her upper register.
Her performance on Monday was a reminder of just how poised this 17-year-old has become throughout the competition.
