ABBEVILLE — Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy J. Landry is scheduled for 12:00 Noon Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Lighthouse for Jesus Church located at 6526 Chaisson Road - Abbeville, LA. She will await the resurrection in the St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville. Pastor Donnie Bolden, Sr. will officiate the service.
Mrs. Dorothy Lottie Jackson Landry (85) a long time resident of Abbeville passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 at her residence surrounded by family.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Maxful Landry, Sr. of Abbeville, LA; nine children, Brenda Levine, Betty Williams (George), Maxful Landry, Jr, Phillip Landry, Elizabeth L. Tolbert (Robert), Rita Landry, Joseph Landry, Josephine Wiltz, and Anthony Landry; twenty-three grandchildren, sixty-nine Great-Grandchildren, fifteen Great-Great-Grandchildren, a special niece to her children, Alice Nickles Brook, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mrs. Landry was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Jackson and Ellen Jackson, a daughter, Mary Ann Landry, four sisters, Hazel Jackson, Mildred Jackson, Mary Lawrence, and Helen Jackson; three brothers, Williams Nickles, Edward Jackson, and Robert Jackson, Jr, four grandchildren, and one son-in-law, Eristes Levine, Sr.
Visitation will be at Lighthouse for Jesus Church from 8:00 A.M. until time of service.
