Eugene E. Moss

ERATH – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Eugene E. Moss, 89, will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 9:00PM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM.
A native and lifelong resident of Erath Mr. Moss died at 9:30AM on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Lafayette General Medical Center. He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy and was a member of American Legion Post 279. He retired from Loffland Brothers after 35 years of service. He was a third degree Knights of Columbus. He loved being with his family and friends and also enjoyed camping, gardening, crawfishing, and farming.
He is survived by a son, Ramsey C. Moss and his wife Toni of Erath; a daughter, Patsy M. Moss and her husband, O.J. of Cow Island; six grandchildren, Donna Bergeron, Tracy Watson, Chris Moss, Jacqueline Marceaux, Michelle Caldwell, and Andre’ Dore; and twenty-one great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Glen Marceaux, Steven Caldwell, Andre’ Dore, Chris Bergeron, Eddie Watson, and Chris Moss.
