ABBEVILLE—Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2015 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Barbara Hebert Simon, 76, who died Monday, March 9, 2015 at her residence.
She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Father Neil Pettit officiating the services.
She is survived by her son, Melvin “Ray” Simon of Abbeville; three daughters, Anna Naquin and her husband, Rick of Lafayette, Gerri Lynn Simon of Lafayette, and Donna Guercio and her husband, Shawn of Denham Springs; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and brother, Donald Hebert and his wife, Jo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton “Man” Hebert and the former Leona “Dod” Lege; grandparents; and one great grandson.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
