Whitnie Menard and Justin Johnson marry at Holy Rosary Church

Miss Whitnie Menard and Mr. Justin Johnson were joined in holy matrimony during a ceremony held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kaplan.
Father Ted Broussard officiated the 6:30 p.m ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Karen L. Menard of Erath and the late Whitney P. Menard. Her grandparents are Betty Comeaux of Abbeville and the late Horace P. Comeaux of Jeanerette, and Nelson Landry of Abbeville.
The groom is the son of Antoinette and Darrin Johnson of Kaplan. His grandparents are Mary Johnson of Kaplan and the late W.C. Bill Johnson, Diane Broussard of Cow Island, and Theodore J. Sam Broussard, Sr., of Cow Island.
Escorted by her brother, Chase P. Menard, the bride wore an ivory fitted, trumpet gown which featured applique flowers and lace. The elegant gown was completed with a sweep train.
Britnie Menard served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Savannah Bordelon, Brittany Johnson, Whitney Broussard, Meagan Perkins and Cagney Goulette. The flower girl was Noellyn Peyte Johnson, daughter of the bride and groom.
Serving as best man was James Burk. Groomsmen include Cole Hebert, Jeremy Callahan, Kyle Simon, Chris Hathaway, and Anthony Robin.
Usher included Kade Harrington and Brad Hargrave.
The bride is a 2010 graduate of Erath High School and a graduate of South Louisiana Community College with a General Studies degree. She is currently employed at Shuck’s Restaurant.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Kaplan High School and a 2009 graduate of McNeese State University with a degree in Business Management. He is currently employed at Energy Transfer/Sea Robin Pipeline.
