Fisherman injured early Sunday morning in boating accident on Intracoastal Canal

James Thompson Jr was injured early Sunday morning, just after midnight, after his boat crashed into the bank right past the 4-Mile Canal on the Intracoastal Canal.
He had just left the dock where a fa-do-do was taking place for the Fishing for Memories Rodeo in Intracoastal City.
Thompson was airlifted by Acadian Ambulance to a nearby hospital. No details of the accident or Thompson’s condition were available Monday.
