Abbeville police arrest Smith in connection with death of Andrews

On the afternoon of May 18, the Abbeville Police Department arrested Deontre Smith (22) of Abbeville.
Smith was arrested on a warrant for Obstruction of Justice in connection to the homicide investigation involving the death of Jacoby Andrews which occurred on in May.
The bond on the warrant was set at $5,000 by Judge Blanchet. Smith was booked in on the warrant and bonded out. Smith is the third person arrested in connection with this investigation Abbeville Police .Chief Tony J. Hardy.
Already arrested were Donathan Comeaux was arrested and charged with Obstruction of Justice and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
Jonathan Comeaux was also arrested for Illegal Discharge of a Firearm.
Witnesses say Jacoby Andrews allegedly forced his way into a home while armed with a gun.
