Vermilion Sheriff's Narcotics Unit arrests Houston man for alleged distribution of Crystal Meth
According to Sheriff Mike Couvillon, the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, along with the Sheriff’s K-9 division, made the following arrests for narcotics related offenses within the parish.
Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Agents recently obtained information that a large amount of Crystal Methamphetamine was being distributed within the Vermilion Parish area by a suspect out of Houston. Agents gathered all pertinent information and began an investigation into the matter.
Upon identifying the suspect, and through a thorough investigation, agents were able to seize a large amount of crystal meth, along with marijuana. Morris Green AKA Clifton Ward, (DOB 12-29-62) of Houston, was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana.
In other action agents arrested Shayla Guidry (dob 11-25-83) of Hammond for possession of synthetic marijuana, and Jerry Clifton (dob 10-19-62) of New Iberia for possession of Methamphetamine.
Sheriff Couvillon would like to applaud the concerned citizens of Vermilion Parish for their awareness and assistance in helping the Sheriff’s Office in fighting the war on illegal drugs.
