Six new assistant principals named in Vermilion Parish

In the final week of school, it looks like all of the administrators are in place, heading into the 2014-2015 school year.
The School Board administration released the names of six new assistant principals recently hired.
Last week there were six assistant principal job openings and a total of 21 people applied.
Here is the list of new assistant principals and what school they are assigned to.
• Kaplan High - Ward Courville was a teacher at Abbeville High School.
• North Vermilion High - Denise Lotief, the wife of Stephen “Tank” Lotief. Denise has seven years administration in Lafayette Parish.
• Dozier Elementary - Christine Hebert, former teacher at Erath Middle.
• Eaton Park Elementary - Sonya Louviere, who has been in the parish for a year.
• Cecil Picard Elementary - Rachelle Brown comes from Lafayette Parish where she was an assistant principal.
• LeBlanc Elementary - Kristin Moore, who was a teacher at Eaton Park.
•Patricia Thibodeaux was transferred to Erath High as the assistant principal
• The Erath High assistant principal job became available when EHS assistant principal Sandy Huval was named the new principal at Erath Middle School. Huval is replacing Lynn Moss, who will be retiring at the end of the school year.
• Natlie Hebert was promoted to principal at Seventh Ward Elementary.
