Erath Bobcats advance to second round of baseball playoffs

Erath High junior Drew Primeaux got back into the grove after missing most of the season with a leg injury by going 2-for-3 at the plate and he knocked in three runs to help the Bobcats beat De La Salle 6-0 on Friday.
The Bobcats, the No. 12 seed, will travel east to play No. 6 seed Brusly in the second round. Brusly, (located before Baton Rouge), beat Patterson 10-0 on Thursday.
The second round game is Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Primeaux had two of Erath's four hits. He had a RBI triple in the bottom of second inning and a two RBI double in the bottom of the third inning.
Getting the win on the hill for EHS was Jace Harrington, who threw all seven innings. Harrington (7-1) allowed five hits but he struck out 8 batters.
