Mt. Carmel well represented at State Science Fair

The best of the best young scientists gathered to compete in the Louisiana Science and Engineering Fair in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, March 25th.

Mt. Carmel Elementary had four 8th grade students attend and compete in their designated categories at this prestigious State Science Fair.

In order to reach this level of competition, these students had a long journey! They began their scientific research in September, 2013, and went on to achieve a 1st or 2nd place award at each of the following levels: school, district, and region (VI).

The “Young Scientists” from Mt. Carmel are: Michael LaCour, Luke Roger, Henry Nguyen, and Zachary Broussard.

These young scientists presented the state judges with a variety of interesting topics.
