Hazel Ruth Shelvin Petry

ABBEVILLE—Memorial services will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Pleasant Green Baptist Church honoring the life of Hazel Ruth Shelvin Petry, 66, who died Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Abbeville General Hospital.
She is survived by her son, Andrew Petry III; two daughters, Nanette Huntsberry Joiner and her husband Rodney, and Tiffany Shante Petry; eight grandchildren, Jabori Huntsberry, Deion Hill, Jasmine Petry, Justin Petry, Railyn Petry, Brea Petry, Andrea Petry and Kesheanna Petry; five great grandchildren, Jaquon Huntsberry, Zhy Huntsberry, Jabori Huntsberry, Jhrai Huntsberry and Jhyria Huntsberry; four brothers, Glen Shelvin, Patrick Shelvin, Jeffery Shelvin and Daryl Shelvin; and one sister, Linda Green.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Petry, Jr.; and parents, Gordy Shelvin and Amie Boutte Shelvin.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pleasant Green Baptist Church, 822 S. Miles Street, Abbeville, on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
