Edwards and Holm united in New Orleans ceremony

The marriage of Emily Elizabeth Edwards and Theodore Wesley Holm was solemnized July 11, 2009, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in New Orleans, LA.

The bride is the daughter of Earnest L. Edwards, Jr. and Cynthia Harrington Edwards. She is the granddaughter of Laura Harrington and the late Theo Harrington of Abbeville and Wanda Edwards and the late Ernest Edwards, Sr. of Bossier City.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Theodore Holm of Phoenix, AZ. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Menton of Newark, DE and the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hilliard of Aston, PA.

Maids of Honor for the wedding included the bride’s sisters, Laura and Kathryn Edwards. Bridesmaids were Kelly Holm, the groom’s sister; Robin Burck, Beth Bender and Kady Van Hook.

The Best Man was Richard Menton IV. Groomsmen included Joey Griffith, Esmond Carr, Joseph Seremet, Daniel Schapiro and Ehren Stanhope.

Donnie Dixon served as the usher, Ring Bearer was Jackson Holm, the groom’s nephew, and the Flower Girl was Peyton Johnson, the groom’s niece.

A reception followed the ceremony at The Pavilion of Two Sisters in the Botanical Gardens.

The bride graduated from Tulane University with a degree in Psychology and was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. She earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Alabama and is employed as a mental health therapist.

The groom graduated from Tulane University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering as was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He’s currently employed as an Engineer with Southern Company.

Following a honeymoon to Negril, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Birmingham, AL.
