Mia Landry becomes Mrs. James Broussard

Miss Mia Landry and Mrs. James Broussard, both of Kaplan, were joined in holy matrimony during a ceremony on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Kaplan.
Father Kendal Faulk officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Michael and Myrna Landry of Kaplan.
Parents of the groom are Daniel and Lydia Broussard of Kaplan.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Kip Faulk.
Readings were done by Marlene Romero, godmother of the groom; Lisa Touchet, godmother of the bride; and Jennifer Alexander, cousin of the bride.
Ushers were Bernie Touchet, uncle of the bride; Andy LeBouef, friend of the bride; Erin Duhon, friend of the bride; and Tekoa Schexnider, friend of the bride.
The mother of the bride was escorted by Tekoa Schexnider. She wore a gold, floor length jacket dress.
The mother of the groom was escorted by Bernie Touchet. The eggplant colored dress she wore featured a cap sleeve bodice enhanced with lace and sequin detail, and a tiered knee length skirt.
Escorted by her father and her son, Grant Landry, the bride wore an elegant allure dress in all-over lace applique. The slim fitted gown was enhanced with a one shoulder neckline which featured the sheer lace into a cap sleeve detail.
She wore a headpiece made with lace, pearls, and crystals.
She carried a hand held bouquet of pink ranunculas, white anemones, white peony filled with stearling range, wax flowers and baby’s breath hand-tied with an ivory ribbon.
Mallory Landry, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids include Marla Landry, sister of the bride; Delia Girouard, sister of the groom; and Simone Touchet, cousin of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Malaya Broussard, daughter of the groom and Kiyia Suire, godchild of the groom. The flower girl was Emilee Schexndier, godchild of the bride.
The attendants wore an illusion, one shoulder corded lace bodice with a ribbon belt at the waist with a knee length mesh skirt in mint green. The junior bridesmaids wore elegant and simple soft ivory mesh dresses with metallic embroidered lace with two flower corsages with pearls at the waist. The flower girl wore ivory lace halter top dresses with a train embellished with pearls and crystals.
The attendants carried bouquets that mirrored the bride’s with added mint green hydrangeas.
Chuck Suire, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Cody Leblanc, friend of the groom; Blake Hargrave, friend of the groom; and Matthew Landry, brother of the bride.
The ring bearer was Makay Akanhay, Jr., friend of the bride.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Vermilion Fair and Festival Building in Kaplan.
Upon their return from a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, TN, the couple will reside in Kaplan.
