Lady Wildcats fall to Carencro

The Abbeveille Lady Wildcats played Carencro close all game, but ended up losing a heartbreaker by the final score of 49-48.

The Lady Wildcats had a lead after the end of the first quarter, 9-7.Arrayia Starland scored five of the nine points for the Lady Wildcats.

In the second quarter both teams scored seven points. All of the Lady Wildcats points came via the free throw line.

Abbeville went seven for 10 from the charity stripe in the second quarter.

The third quarter is where the game got away for Abbeville.

In the third quarter the Lady Wildcats managed to put up 13 points. Barbara Bryant and Jacqueline Braxton each score four in the third quarter.

The defense however allowed Carencro to score 19. Giving Carencro the 33-29 lead after three quarters.

In the fourth quarter the offense picked up for the Lady Wildcats. They scored 19 points of their own. Unfortunately, the defense allowed Carencro to score 15 points, giving Carencro the 49-48 victory.

Leading the way for the Lady Wildcats in scoring was Christian Hackshaw, who scored 12 points.

Starland also managed to score in the double digits with 10.

Rounding out the rest of the scoring for the Lady Wildcats, Braxton and Bryant each score eight.
