Bishop Captville confirmed as President of National Convention of Free Will Baptists, USA
Bishop Raymond Captville, a native of Abbeville, was confirmed President of the National Convention of Free Will Baptists, U.S.A. in July while attending the Convention in Birmingham.
The convention was well attended with delegates from all over the United States to witness this historical leadership changing event take place.
Bishop Captville has served as pastor of Rose Hill Baptist Church in Abbeville, his childhood home church, for 19 years. He is the founder and Senior Pastor of the Mt. Moriah’s Family Baptist Church in Baton Rouge.
Bishop Captville attended United Baptist Theological Seminary in Monroe, Louisiana and Christian Bible College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He obtained a Masters of Christian Leadership at Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College, Moore, Oklahoma and a Doctor of Divinity at Freedom Bible College and Seminary in Rogers, Arkansas.
In his recent elevation to National President of the National Convention of Free Will Baptists, U.S.A., he and his wife will begin the journey as national president as they travel to Baltimore, MD to meet and worship with Bishop Robert Farrow and the Northeast Free Will Baptist General Conference.
