Zaunbrecher Becomes Royalty

GUEYDAN - Abbey Zaunbrecher’s inner and outward beauty was recently very apparent to the judges during the Kiwanis Pepper Festival. Abbey was chosen Queen on Saturday, July 11 in St. Martinville.
She is a resident of Gueydan and is a graduate of Vermilion Catholic. While at VC she was active in the Drama Club, where she was in several productions, and the Speech Club, competing in speech tournaments and served as President. She was active in 4-H and served as reporter, vice president and president for her school.
Abbey was also actively involved in the Christian Youth Theatre Lafayette where she was cast the in musical productions of Les Miserables, Cinderella, The Music Man and Mary Poppins. Abbey will enter University of Louisiana at Lafayette this Fall as a Freshman and will be majoring in Hospitality Management.
Abbey says, she is “looking forward to visiting local festivals and events promoting the Kiwanis Pepper Festival and learning about all the wonderful people and events found throughout Louisiana”.
Abbey Lynn Zaunbrecher is the 18 year old daughter of Matthew and Sabrina Zaunbrecher of Gueydan.
