Vermilion Sheriff's Narcotics Unit arrests five people

According to Sheriff Mike Couvillon, the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit made the following arrests for narcotics related offenses within the parish.
• Brandy Bourque (Date of birth 7/14/78) of New Iberia, arrested and charged with drug paraphernalia
• Jobi Dupuis (Date of birth 3/4/75) of Abbeville, arrested and charged with possession of Schedule II narcotic (Xanax), possession with the intent to distribute Methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Wilson Hargrave (Date of birth 10/24/87) of Kaplan, arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts of forgery, and theft.
• Stephen Simon (Date of birth 4/8/74) of Kaplan, arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of possession of a legend drug, and obstruction of justice.
• Sarah Bertrand (Date of birth 1/27/93) of Kaplan, arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, two counts of contempt of court.
Sheriff Mike Couvillon would like to applaud the concerned citizens of Vermilion Parish for their awareness and assistance in helping the Sheriff’s Office in fighting the war on illegal drugs.
