Vermilion Parish will have three new school board members

There will be three new school board members after Tuesday night’s election.
Winning in the Erath area, District G, is Sara Bourgeois, who had 1,268 votes (60 percent) over longtime school member “Bubba” LeBlanc with 839 votes (40 percent).
Winning in the Kaplan area was long-time educator Laura LeBeouf with 1,311 votes (53 percent) over Dexter Callahan with 1,141 votes (47 percent).
Winning in the Gueydan area, District A, was Gueydan principal Luddy Herpin with 1,341 votes (59 percent) over “Skip” Gardiner with 949 votes (41 percent).
