Vermilion Parish Sheriff' Office make three arrests

According to Sheriff Mike Couvillon, the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit made the following arrests for narcotics related offenses within the parish.

- Tasha Savoy (dob 3/10/81) of Kaplan, arrested and charged with possession of Marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia

- Brock Suire (dob 2/29/80) of Abbeville arrested and charged with attempted possession of methamphetamine, and two counts of failure to appear for trial.

- Gene Zenon Jr, (dob 9/17/84) of Gueydan, arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute oxycodone, possession with the intent to distribute xanex, possession of Adderall, two counts of illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance, prohibited acts, contempt of court, proceeds derived from drug transactions, and drug paraphernalia.
Zenon had been eluding law enforcement for months due to outstanding warrants. Upon agents locating Zenon, he abandoned the vehicle he was near, and hurriedly walked into a residence. Agents surrounded the home as Zenon attempted to escape out of the rear door. He was apprehended and found to be in possession of several narcotics, and a large amount of the suspect drug proceeds.

Sheriff Couvillon would like to applaud the concerned citizens of Vermilion Parish for their awareness and assistance in helping the Sheriff’s Office in fighting the war on illegal drugs.
