Two more arrested in the death of Vermilion Parish Sheriff's deputy
The Louisiana State Police have arrested two more suspects in the shooting death of Sheriff Deputy Allen Bares Jr.
Arrested Tuesday, around 9 p.m., was Miguel Comeaux, 28, of Abbeville. Comeaux, who lives at 3305 Martin Luther King Drive, was charged with accessory to first degree murder. No bond was set for him. He remains in the Vermilion Parish Law Enforcement Center. He turned himself into the Abbeville Police Department at 8:40 p.m.
Quintygi Richard, the sister of Quitylan Richard, was booked into the parish jail two hours after Comeaux was booked.
She was also charged with accessory to first degree murder. Her bond was set at $100,000. She was arrested at a home in Abbeville.
Quintygi’s home address is 1800 Third Street at Westgate Apartments in Kaplan.
Law enforcement agents saw Quityland, the alleged shooter, near his sister’s apartment late Monday night. According to witnesses, when he saw the police, he began to run. Quityland was caught on foot at the intersection of Marceaux Street and Third Street in Kaplan.
He was booked into the parish jail and no bond has been set. He was charged with first degree murder for the alleged killing of Bares.
