Two killed in burnt SUV by North Vermilion High were in a relationship

The two people who were found murdered in a burnt SUV in May were in a relationship.
The Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office was finally able to make a solid identification of the second victim found in the SUV in the North Vermilion area.
According to Sheriff Mike Couvillon, the female’s name is Abigail Clark. She was 30 years old and from Breaux Bridge.
Last month the Sheriff’s Office identified the other person killed in the SUV as Cody Fell, who was 34 years old.
They were sitting in the front seat of the SUV and found by volunteer firemen putting out the burning SUV.
The Sheriff’s Office said they were murdered but did not give any details as to how they were murdered.
Janice Cutrera, Cody’s mother, did not want to talk about the investigation because it is still on-going. Two months after her son’s death, she is still in pain.
“My heart is heavy for her (Abigail’s) family as well,” said Janice.
Both bodies were badly burned, making it difficult to identify the bodies found in the SUV. DNA samples had to be taken to get solid proof of who they were.
Fell was buried in Morgan City, where he was born, but he was living in Youngsville when he was killed.
He left behind his parents, Tim Fell of Morgan City and mother Janice Cutrera, who lives in Youngsville.
He also had two children, Gage Cutrera and Kandis Trulove.
His mother posted this on Hargrave Funeral Home’s website,
“To my first born son:
My heart is heavy and so full of grief. I can not accept or fully understand why this had to happen...... I will carry you forever in my heart and will never forget you. I love you baby.”
Fell’s family placed a home-made cross along Claude Road, near North Vermilion High School. The cross stands where the SUV burned.
On the cross, the letters “RIP Cody Fell” are written down the center of it. There are also names of his children and stepchildren written on the cross.
Gage wrote: “Lov u dad” with a heart on top of his message.
His step daughter’s name, “Chi Chi” and the name, “Jaya”are written on the cross.

According to the sheriff, investigators are working diligently & utilizing all available resources in an effort to arrest the person or people responsible for this crime.
