Task Force agents recovered cash evidence during the arrest.

Tip led to arrest at Live Oak apartments in Abbeville

A tip led law enforcement agents to the Live Oak Manor Apartments in Abbeville which led to the arrest of one person and the search for another.
After receiving information about suspected illegal narcotics activity at Live Oak Manor, apartment 197, agents applied for, and were able to obtain a search warrant for the apartment. Upon execution of the search warrant agents secured the residence and upon searching it, seized a large amount of suspected marijuana, and a large amount of U.S. currency suspected to be drug proceed money .
Agents were able to identify the occupants of the apartment as Brenzil Plowden and Marvin “Diggum” Harris III.
Agents did make contact with Plowden, but are actively seeking Harris so he can be arrested on his felony warrant.

The people of Vermilion and our children are the beneficiaries of these city leaders’ great efforts. It is my hope that in the near future other towns and cities in the parish of Vermilion will be able to assist in the continuing fight against illicit drugs.”
Finally, Sheriff Couvillon would like to applaud the concerned citizens of Vermilion Parish for their awareness and assistance in helping the Sheriff’s Office in fighting the war on illegal drugs.
