Timmy Landry to run for Erath councilman seat
ERATH - Erath resident Timmy Landry has declared that he is a candidate for the Erath City Council in the Tuesday, November 4, 2014 election. In declaring his candidacy, he released the following statement:
“After much thought and prayer, I have decided to seek the position of Erath City Councilman. Erath is a great place to live and for children to grow up. The people of our community are very supportive of our schools and our community organizations. In order for Erath to continue to thrive as a community into the future, we must have a government that is willing to work together to make the right choices now. Our community deserves a Mayor and City Council that is committed to working together for the advancement of the town. I want to be involved in making the important decisions about Erath’s future.
“ I am a 1978 graduate of Erath High School. I have been married to Cathy Domingue Landry for 33 years. We are the proud parents of three children: Nick, Christen, and Chloe. My parents are Wade and Jane Landry of Erath. I have been employed by the Bristow Group for the past 28 years, where I work as the NABU Supply Chain Manager.
“My wife and I are also small business owners, operating Moo-Noo’s Grill in Erath.
“I believe that it is important to give your time to your community. I am a member of the Erath 4th of July Association and currently serve as vice president. I am also a member of the Erath Knights of Columbus and Erath Backers Club. My family and I attend Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, where I am a Eucharist minister.
“I am eager to help guide Erath into the future. For any community to continue to be successful, new ideas and ways of doing things are required. I will bring a fresh prospective to operation of the Town of Erath. I look forward to bringing these ideas to the table as your City Councilman. I ask you to please vote for me and allow me to serve as your representative.”
