Strong winds cause damage in Erath on Thursday

On Thursday night, strong winds and rain moved into Vermilion Parish. Winds snapped two electrical poles in the town of Erath. This pole was snapped in half and then got tangled in the electrical lines.
The south part of Erath lost electricity for a few hours on Thursday until all of the lines were replaced. The poles fell on Lastie Road and at the corner od Gin and Pearl Street in Erath.

Below, a large branch broke off an Oak tree in the park in Erath. The branch fell on top of the Toddy Derouen Pavilion. The branch destroyed the roof.
