SLEMCO members can win valuable prizes while taking care of business

Because SLEMCO is an electric cooperative, our members are an integral part of the organization. At the annual meeting on Saturday, June 6th at the Lafayette Cajundome, our members will be asked to elect board members and to conduct official company business.
And, because we know time on a Saturday morning is extremely valuable to everyone, we’ve changed our prizes this year to encourage as many members as possible to attend.
1st Grand Prize will be a choice of $20,000 cash, a 2015 car or truck from Courtesy Automotive, a 32ft. Rockford Ultralight Camper from Primeaux RV, a 2015 Tracker Proteam 190TX Bass Boat with 115 HP Mercury outboard and trailer from Henderson Implement & Marine or a Kubota L3901 39 HP Tractor with front-end loader and choice of rear implement from Henderson Implement & Marine.
2nd Grand Prize will be $10,000 cash and 3rd Grand Prize will be $5,000 cash.
The first prize awarded at 8 a.m. will be for a choice of either a 2015 Honda FourTrax Rancher 4Wheeler from Honda of Lafayette or $5,000 cash.
Other prizes will include $1,000 cash (5 winners), home theater sound systems (2 winners), iPads (2 winners), laptop computers (2 winners) and cordless power tool sets (2 winners).
Twenty lucky college students will win $2,000 each to attend school next fall.
If SLEMCO provides electricity to your home, you will receive a card in the mail during the week of May 25th that will be your chance to enter the prize drawings. You must be present to win and you must have a pictured I.D. to claim your prize. You or your spouse may attend and participate in the meeting and prize drawings. Powers of attorney are not eligible to claim prizes for members unable to attend the meeting.
Commercial members must contact Mrs. Gayle Babin at SLEMCO, in writing, at least 24 hours prior to the meeting on June 6th, notifying us who their registered agent will be at the meeting.
