School personnel making their move in Vermilion Parish

Vermilion Parish public school ended on Friday, which means it’s time for some school teachers and personnel to get new appointments for the next school year.
A total of 68 new appointments, including voluntary and involuntary was approved at Thursday night’s school board meeting.
There is only one school getting a new principal next school year.
Sandy Huval, after only one year as principal at Erath Middle School, is getting a new position in central office.
She will be head of the District Cooperative of Louisiana, which was started by Vermilion Parish school district. Now there are 48 other school districts who have joined Vermilion for buying power from school vendors. Each district pays $2,000 a year to be in the co-op. That fee is used to pay Huval’s salary, who is a one-person negotiating leader.
“I am excited what is happening in Vermilion Parish,” said Huval.
Wendy Stoute, who was on personal leave this school year, is now the new principal at Erath Middle.
Before going on leave, she was the principal at Eaton Park Elementary.
There are two assistant principals who were involuntary transferred to other schools.
Angela Godwin is moving across Abbeville. She is going to Eaton Park from Herod Elementary.
Godwin is taking Sonya Louviere’s place, who is being transferred to North Vermilion High School as an assistant principal.
