Maurice teen arrested for possibly stealing art in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE — Lafayette police arrested a Maurice teenager Thursday on suspicion he stole more than $500 worth of art from a medical building on Ambassador Caffery Parkway, according to a release.
Acting on a tip given to Lafayette Crime Stoppers, police arrested David Aragon, 17, of Maurice, Cpl. Paul Mouton said.
Aragon was identified from a photo of the suspect during the Feb. 14 heist, Mouton said.
Aragon was booked into Lafayette Parish Correctional Center and released after posting bail of $1,500.
