Lutcher fans leave trash, alcohol in school parking lot

Kaplan Principal Dr. Janet Guerrini was not happy after Friday's football game against Lutcher.
The Pirates lost to Lutcher 13-8 in a thrilling game. But when the game was over and the Lutcher fans began leaving, she saw something she has never seen before in the Kaplan parking lot.
The Lutcher fans left small bags of trash, along with whiskey bottles, beer bottles and cans, along with food in the Kaplan parking lot.
Dr. Janet and others spent a hour picking up the beer and whiskey bottles to make sure no vehicles ran over them.
"This is disgusting," said Dr. Janet as she looked at the parking lot.
The Lutcher fans arrived at 5 p.m. and a group of them began cooking behind their vehicles. Many of those same fans left chicken bones and corn scattered where they were cooking.
The Kaplan Police were called and plan to fill a report on alcohol being on school grounds.
Dr. Janet said she will also file a report with the LHSAA, reporting how the Lutcher fans trashed the school parking lot.
She also planned to hire someone to clean the parking lot Saturday morning.
