LeBlanc is Erath's Mayor, Theriot takes Gueydan mayor's race

ERATH - Since Sept. 1 of 2013, Erath has had three mayors. After Tuesday’s election, now the town will have one for the next four years.
John Earl LeBlanc won as mayor of Erath for the second time in seven months.
He beat Billy Cormier with 584 votes to 402 votes (59 percent to 41 percent).
In Gueydan, Chris Theriot is back at being mayor of the small town. He had 230 votes, while Charlotte Venable Hartwell had 99 votes. David Dupuis had 93 votes.
There will be three new faces on the Erath council. The top five vote getters are elected to the council seat.
Robert ‘T Bob” Domingues was the top vote getter with 622 votes, followed by Robert Vincent with 611 votes. The next three are Chris Hebert (577 votes), Guy Nerren (532 votes) and Tim Landry (546 votes).
Others running for the alderman seat were Donald Menard (504 votes), Tony Richard (479 votes) and Clarence Fusilier (293 votes).
