Gueydan Duck Festival Teen Queen Crowned

GUEYDAN - Brown haired beauty, Lauren Richard was crowned the 2014 Duck Festival Teen Queen on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the Gueydan High School Auditorium during the highlight of the Gueydan Duck Festival Junior Pageant. Lauren’s family and friends cheered as the young beauty was crowned by the 2013 Teen Queen Elise Miller.
The newly crowned queen is a Gueydan High School student and the 16 year-old daughter of Steven Richard of Destrehan and Tammy Broussard Richard of Gueydan.
She wore a beautiful blue silky sweetheart neckline evening dress with a rhinestone studded bodice and full floor length skirt with a sheer overlay.
She will represent the Gueydan Duck Festival by attending festivals and pageants throughout Louisiana during the following year.
Named to the Queen’s court were, first alternate and fashion winner, Lexie Comeaux; second alternate, Gabrielle Guilbeau and third alternate, Ali Bourque.
