Erath man arrested with child pornography

Two Acadiana men were arrested on child pornography charges this week, as a result of a joint investigation between the State Attorney General's Office, State Police, Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, and Homeland Security.
Forty-year-old Scott Paul Touchet of Erath, was booked in the Lafayette Parish Jail on ten counts of distributing and 500 counts of possessing pornography involving juveniles.
If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.
In another incident, 45-year-old Gilbert Dupre, of Duson was booked into the Lafayette Parish Jail on 40 counts of distributing pornography involving juveniles.
Dupre also faces up to 20 years in prison on each count if convicted.
