Business Appreciation Luncheon
GUEYDAN - During its annual Business Appreciation Luncheon on April 30, the Gueydan Chamber of Commerce announced the recipients of its Business of the Year, Business Person of the Year and Volunteer Awards for 2014.
The Business of the Year Award recipient was given to T’s Crawfish Trap.
Carol and Steven Plaisance turned the old Frances Dry Good Store in 1996. Turned the fabric and notions store into a thriving food service business.
Known for her good cooking, and his crawfish boiling skills, the take out restaurant soon became a hit by blending the two specialities together, serving lunches and short orders at noon and T’s famous boiled crawfish on Fridays during crawfish season.
Since the opening of T’s Crawfish Trap it has been involved in many local events and fund raisers supporting the community.
This year’s luncheon was held at the Gueydan Civic Center.
