Abbeville's VC Eagles play familiar Highland Baptist in the first round of baseball playoffs

The Vermilion Catholic Eagles learned Tuesday afternoon who they play in the first round and it is someone they are familiar with.
The Eagles, seeded No. 5, will entertain district foe Highland Baptist in the bi-district round. They will play Friday at 3:15 p.m. at Sellers Field.
Highland is the No. 28 seed and lost to VC each time this year.
The winner of the VC/Highland game plays the winner of No. 12 Ascension Catholic/ No. 21 Merryville winner.
Down La. 14, the Delcambre Panthers, the No. 30 seed, will travel to the New Orleans area to play Riverside Academy, the No. 3 seed in Class 2A.
