NAUW awards two $500 scholarships
The National Association of University Women - Vermilion Region Branch, has again awarded scholarships to two Vermilion Parish graduates. Tatum Ariel Shipley, a student at Abbeville High School and Bailee Zhanae Irvine, a student at TM Landry College Prep have accepted $500 scholarships from the organization.
Bridget Winters, president of NAUW-Vermilion Region, and Ella Taylor, chairperson of the scholarship committee, presented the scholarships in a short award ceremony at the regular monthly meeting.
The mission of the National Association of University Women is to serve women and youth of the community by addressing educational issues, advancing the status of women, and partnering with allied organizations.
