The children at Precious Moments Head Start Center in Abbeville got to celebrate the end of the school year with a special visitor, Wayne Singleton, and danced while he performed for them, singing and playing the accordion before they went to the playground.

Music, fun jumps cap off year

Precious Moments Head Start Center in Abbeville had a special guest visitor as they celebrated the end of the school year.

Wayne Singleton, of Wayne and the Same Ol’ Two Step, spoke to the children at the center about summer safety and performed for them.

“I don’t want to hear about any of you playing out in the road or swimming without an adult around,” he warned.

Singleton held his accordion while he spoke to the children. When he was done speaking, it was time to play.

Singing and playing for them, he encouraged the kids to get up and dance - which they did - then asked if he could get in the fun jumps in the playground, too. The kids were excited about the day of fun, and spent their time outside, happy school was nearing its end.
