Covered buttons gave detail to the back of the gown. An explosion of tulle, gathered up and decorated with beaded appliques, created a dramatic fit-and-flare silhouette, which continued into a chapel-length train. To complete her ensemble, the bride wore a birdcage veil of ivory French net.

The scriptures were read by Patricia Owens, aunt of the groom, of New Iberia, and Earliest Collins Jr., uncle of the bride, of Abbeville.
