Parish is half of All District Team

The 2013 6-3A All District team has been announced, and Vermilion Parish is very well represented.

After making its way to the quarterfinals of the playoffs the Kaplan Pirates have earned 10 spots on the 6-3A All District first and second teams.

Jalen Bates and Laine Broussard were selected to the first team all defensive team.

Tyson Broussard, Matt Bouillion and Devantae Davis were selected to the first team all offensive team.

Kasey Kass, Kaleb Guidry, Kaylon Rudd, Nigel Pasqual and AJ Perro found their names on the second team all district teams.

The North Vermilion Patriots had eight total members that were selected between the first and second teams.

Seth Patin and Trey Broussard were selected to the first team all offensive team.

Nick Cooper and Colin Vaughn were selected to the first team all defensive team.

Dade Dieterich, Castle Drummer, Terrance Lollis and Jawuan Windmon were all named to the second team.

The Erath Bobcats had a total of six players selected between the first and second teams.

Zach Campos, Elijah Mitchell, the only freshmen selected, and Ty Bares were selected to the first team all district offensive team.

Aaron Green was the only Erath player to be selected to the first team all defensive team.

Bryston Louviere and Nick Bourg were selected to the second team all district team.

Keyshawn Bessard of Abbeville was the only selection for the Wildcats to be placed on the first or second teams. Bessard was selected to the second team offense.

Notre Dame led the way with most selections to the all district team with 25.

Along with 25 members to the team, Notre Dame had the offensive, Brad Stoma, and defensive, Hunter Stelly, MVPs, along with the coach of the year, Lewis Cook.
