Honey Bears improve to 4-2
The Gueydan Honey Bears improved their record to 4-2, on the season, with a 48-23 victory over Northside Christian of Crowley.
Head coach of the Honey Bears, Randall Bertrand knows how important it is for his young to get wins early.
“For the young team we have wins, especially early on are very important,” Bertrand said. “It lets them know that they can win and gives them a good boost of confidence.”
The Honey Bears did most of their work in the second half, scoring 31 of their 48 points.
In the third quarter, Gueydan scored 16 points, thanks to two three pointers from Kylie Crochet.
In the fourth, they were able to add to the score by netting 15 points.
Tinia Legue scored six of her nine points in the fourth quarter.
Nya Boudreaux led the way in scoring for the Honey Bears with a game high 12 points. Sheridan Guidry also added eight for the Honey Bears,
The Honey Bears next opponent is Jennings, in the Elton Tournament, starting tomorrow night.
