Erath struggles against AES

In the second game of the Erath Tournament, the Erath Bobcats had a tough time putting the ball in the basket against Ascension Episcopal losing by the final score of 52-24.

The game didn’t start the way the Bobcats would have hoped.

In the first quarter the Bobcats defense played well, only allowing AES 10 points.

The offense however wasn’t able to find the bottom of the bucket, putting up only four points in the first quarter.

The second quarter was much of the same for the Bobcats. The defense allowed 16 points, and the offense was only able to add three points.

The halftime score was 26-7, AES.

In the past three games for the Bobcats the third quarter is where they have played some of their best basketball.

This time around however, wasn’t the case for Erath. In the third quarter the Bobcat offense was only able to add eight points to the scoreboard, while allowing 14.

The fourth quarter was much like the first three quarters. The Bobcats were able to put up nine points.

Leading the way in scoring for the Bobcats was Aaron Green with nine. Elijah Mitchel also added four points.

Zack Campos and Baron Rosa each added three apiece.
