Hernandez weds Guidry

Natalie Hernandez and John H. “Tee” Guidry, III were married on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Rayne with Fr. Brian Taylor officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark “Aubrey” Cole of Lafayette. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Hernandez of Judice and Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Cole of Lafayette. A graduate of Acadiana High School and Southwest Paralegal College, she is currently employed as a legal assistant with Jeansonne and Remondet.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Guidry, Jr. of Duson. He is the grandson of Mrs. Mildred Guidry and the late John H. Guidry, Sr. of Rayne. A graduate of Acadiana High School, he is self-employed as a rice, soybean and crawfish farmer.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a one-piece, corset, strapless full A-lined gown in ivory. The bodice featured a fitted waistline romantically embellished with an embroidered beaded motifs comprised of Swarovski crystals. The skirt back featured caught-up accents cascading into a bubble hem chapel train.

Maid of honor was a friend of the bride, April Guidry. Matron of honor was the bride’s aunt, Tammy Brasseaux.

Bridesmaids were Brittany Hernandez and Kristen Hernandez, cousins of the bride; Brittany Guidry, cousin of the groom; Rosalyn Abshire and Chyra Smith, friends of the bride; and Kelly Broussard, sister of the groom.

Junior bridesmaids were Lauren Cole, sister of the bride, and Jana Guillot, godchild of the bride.

Bridal attendants each wore a strapless, full-length gown in a chocolate tone with caught-up accents cascading into a bubble-length train while carrying ivory roses.

Best men were Jody Landry and Steven Menard, friends of the groom.

Groomsmen were Justin Guidry, brother of the groom; Brandon Cole, brother of the bride; Chris Trahan, cousin of the groom; Ryan LeBlanc and Bendi Falcon, friends of the groom.

Junior groomsmen were Konnor Broussard, godchild of the groom, and Dillon Brasseaux, cousin of the bride.

Ushering guests to their appropriate seats were Brian Hernandez, godfather of the bride; Brian Brasseaux, uncle of the bride; Chris Dogay, cousin of the groom; and Jorge Rosales, friend of the couple.

Male attendants each wore a formal black tuxedo with chocolate-tomed vest and tie. The lapel was noted with an ivory rose boutonniere.

Serving as flower girl was Sydney Menard, godchild of the groom. She wore an ivory dress and carried two and one-half dozen chocolate-toned roses. She was escorted by the ring bearer, Karson Broussard, godchild of the bride. He wore a formal black tuxedo with ivory vest and tie, along with an ivory rose boutonniere.

Readers for the wedding ceremony were Carolyn Royer, godmother of the bride; and Courtney Hernandez, cousin of the bride.

Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held in honor of the newlyweds at the Rayne Civic Center.

After returning from a wedding trip to Negri, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Rayne.

Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was held Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Crawfish Hut Restaurant in Rayne hosted by the bride and groom.
